As part of PALFINGER’s commitment to enhancing operator safety and efficiency, they strive to evolve their current safety processes.
In particular, their aerial lift trucks department came to SafetyIQ with the aim of increasing compliance and adjusting to a preventative rather than reactive strategy.
Previously their operations did not have a single platform to monitor HSE indicators and issues were not tracked before they reoccurred. This impacted not only safety, but production as well.
Without the ability to analyse results, they were unable to implement evidence-based measures to improve their workforce’s safety.
SafetyIQ configured a comprehensive solution that not only captured data in a single location but transformed their safety processes.
Rather than relying on a single safety contact to undertake all safety procedures, employees can now manage audits, inspections, incidents, and observations in the field and from any device. This made their processes more efficient and engaged every employee in contributing to the overall health and safety.
For example, if they see a hazard in the field, any employee can quickly report it on the app. Instead of waiting for an accident to happen, their safety team is alerted, with everything they need to investigate and assign remediation.
On top of this, all safety data now feeds directly into the custom-built reporting dashboards that highlight safety trends and provide a means to implement informed measures and reduce incidents.
As a result, PALFINGER has seen productivity improvements and their entire workforce are engaged with their efficient safety processes.
The Safety team are now able to focus on the analysis of safety trends and data insights. Providing them with the means to effectively improve every employee’s safety, and make use of preventative, proactive measures.
